Law, Psychology and Social Studies

Key information

  • This course provides access to a range of exciting and challenging undergraduate degrees at Dundee, such as International Relations and Politics or Law. Upon successful completion, this route will enable you to continue your Social Sciences degree directly with the University of Dundee.
  • Students are offered a modern, forward looking approach to learning and a rigorous preparation for the professional world, whether in the legal sphere or elsewhere. This foundation program has a balance of a variety of skills to prepare you for degrees in many different disciplines.
  • As part of the foundation, you will be a student at the University of Dundee straight away. You will study on the same campus and use the same services and accommodation as other University students. The on-campus International College setting is close to University accommodation. In addition, you will receive special support from the ICD team, helping you settle into your new life in Scotland.
  • Classes are small and taught by experienced teaching staff with many years of experience. This means that you will receive individual attention and support from your tutors as you focus on improving your academic skills. In addition to the English modules you will be taking as part of this course to ensure you reach the required English level, you can also make use of the free English language support offered by the University after you finish at the College.
  • This program is available as a joint-CAS program meaning you will receive a single visa for the entirety -- 4 years -- of your program giving you greater freedom for work, remove the need for multiple healthcare fees, and other opportunities from the first year. Typical foundation programs in the UK require separate visas for different program levels.
