Key information

  • Designed in partnership with experts from the University of Dundee’s School of Science and Engineering, this course will give you subject-specific preparation within Computing and will allow you to develop your ability to use software development tools. Upon completion of this course, you will continue onto your chosen degree with the University of Dundee School of Science and Engineering.
  • You'll become part of an exciting and innovative environment at the University of Dundee, working with real-world organizations to create applications from requirements gathering to final product. Dundee works closely with industries on a local and international level to ensure that the topics you study are practical and relevant. You'll put this experience into practice through short-term summer work placement modules.
  • As part of the foundation, you will be a student at the University of Dundee straight away. You will study on the same campus and use the same services and accommodation as other University students. The on-campus International College setting is close to University accommodation. In addition, you will receive special support from the ICD team, helping you settle into your new life in Scotland.
  • Classes are small and taught by experienced teaching staff with many years of experience. This means that you will receive individual attention and support from your tutors as you focus on improving your academic skills. In addition to the English modules you will be taking as part of this course to ensure you reach the required English level, you can also make use of the free English language support offered by the University after you finish at the College.
  • This program is available as a joint-CAS program meaning you will receive a single visa for the entirety -- 4 years -- of your program giving you greater freedom for work, remove the need for multiple healthcare fees, and other opportunities from the first year. Typical foundation programs in the UK require separate visas for different program levels.
