International Year One in Public Health will prepare students to enter the next semester of a bachelor's degree program at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Why The University of Alabama at Birmingham?

  • In the Public Health concentration, students will learn about a mix of factors and dynamics that contribute to public health issues across the board.
  • With a Global Health concentration, students will learn to work both locally and globally in public health by studying the effects of disease and learn how to plan and implement public health programs.
  • Those graduating with an Environmental health concentration will go on to work in public and private sector careers to address problems such as pollution, water safety, and ecosystem protection.
  • Students choose from one- to three-semester Pathway programs.
  • Students are fully admitted to UAB provided successful completion of conditional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway and submission of all required admission credentials.
