Introduction

Overview

Preparing students for direct entry to Year 1 of a wide range of undergraduate degrees in subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Psychology and Zoology at Newcastle University.

On campus and online study options
This program is available to study either on campus or online – giving students the flexibility to choose what’s best for them.

If your student starts online, they’ll have the opportunity to transfer to an on-campus program the following term. They’ll need to meet any visa requirements and demonstrate good attendance and performance during their studies online.

If your student applies for an Online Extended program, they’ll be offered an Online Academic English plus online or on-campus academic pathway study plan.

  • Theoretical studies in Chemistry and Biology are supported with opportunities for practical learning in science laboratories with modern analytical equipment.
  • Attend weekly classes delivered by Newcastle University lecturers.

Typically held Monday to Friday between 08.00 - 19.00 excluding bank holidays. However, there may be instances where classes need to be held outside these times due to unforeseen circumstances.

Completion of 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades.

English language entry requirements

3 Terms: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 4.5 in any subskill) or equivalent. Some exclusions exist.
