Math placement will be determined by the score achieved on a Department of Mathematics placement test. If no Math placement scores are on file prior to the beginning of the semester, students will not be able to begin their major classes which may extend the time necessary to graduation. If placed below MTH 132 Pre-Calculus, students will be required to substitute some Pathway courses, which may extend the time necessary to graduation. In extension semester, students may repeat the courses or substitute comparable courses, approved by advisors.
CS 110: Core classes will be substituted for engineering or computer science classes if the student does not have the math prerequisite required to begin engineering or computer science classes.

Student using PASSWORD, PTEA, or GoaKao as proof of English proficiency will take an English placement test upon arrival. Students scoring below the required entry will be placed in Academic English. Students will be enrolled for an average of 15 credits per semester in the fall and spring semesters. Students will be enrolled in no less than 12 credit hours in summer semester. Academic undergraduate courses in the Pathway may be substituted with other academic undergraduate courses.
